On 15/11/2016 at 2130 hrs a written complaint received from one Shri Bengia Guma, 42 years S/O Shri Bengia Leli D.A.M © NHPC to the effect that on 15/11/2016 around 1930 hrs three unidentified persons come his rented residence located at Mayu-I opposite KV School Roing and asked him to come out of the house. When the complainant came out of the house, suddenly they attacked him and assaulted physically with lathi, iron rod and stones etc, resulting grievous injuries on his person. In a dedicated effort, Roing Police arrested all the accused within 48 hrs.

In a dedicated effort, Roing Police arrested all accused persons in connection with Roing PS Case No. 26/2016 U/S 392/394 IPC R/W section 25/27 Arms Act and Roing PS Case No. 11/2016 U/S 384 IPC R/W section 25(1-A) Arms Act and recovered booty from their possession.

Roing PS Case No. Case No. 59/2011 dated 09/08/2011 U/S 395/397/398 IPC R/W Sec.27 of Arms Act
Arrested all the accused persons involved in connection with Roing PS Case No. 59/2011 dated 09/08/2011 U/S 395/397/398 IPC R/W Sec.27 of arms act and recovered Rs. 5,36,800/- out of looted amount of Rs.25,35,167/- during 2011-12.

Hunli PS Case NO.2/15 dated 26/03/2015 U/S. 279/338 IPC
Saved the life of driver and 1(one) victim associate vide Hunli PS Case NO.2/15 dated 26/03/2015 U/S. 279/338 IPC whose vehicle (Scorpio bearing NO. AR-16/7389) had skid and fallen down in the valley from main road and struck on trunk of a tree at 37 km from Roing towards Hunli in late night hours on 25/03/2015. The rescue operation was conducted by (i) Shri Habung Hailyang DySP(HQ) Roing (II) Inspr. S.C Norbu (iii) SI. S.M. Singha (iv) SI. A. Taying (v) SI. R. Moyong and Fire Staffs.
Awareness Campaign : Operation Smile - Awareness campaign conducted under operation smile in the month of January, 2016 and August, 2016 to trace missing children, rescue and rehabilitate them was conducted by the police department in collaboration with Dibang Adi Women’s association (DAWA) and Enjalumenda women’s Empowerment Forum(EMWEF) at Govt. Secondary School Mayu, Govt Secondary School Abali, Govt Secondary School Jia, Govt Secondary School Meka and Govt Higher Secondary School Bolung. In every school, in addition to speech from police department, resource person of legal expert, District Labour and employment department, ICDS department and NGOs also enlightened the purpose of awareness campaign on operation smile.
Awareness Campaign against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Awareness campaign conducted on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse & illicit trafficking in the month of July, 2016. In this regard essay , debate and extempore speech competition conducted in schools. Students were awarded the prizes/rewards.
Swachhta Abhiyan:On 28/11/2015, Lower Dibang Valley District, Police conducted Social Service in and around Roing township to set an example of cleanliness . Every member of district police participated in social service very enthusiastically and it was decided to work on each Saturday to keep the township and office premises neat and clean . Being a members of disciplined force we should always initiate social activities for the well being of the society to bridge the gap of police public relationship which lead towards peace and tranquility of society. The mission of Swacchta Abhiyan is continued and carried on each & every Saturday.
