Roing P.S. Case No. 26/2016, U/S 392/394 IPC R/W Sec 25/27 Arms Act



On 22/04/2016 at 2145 Hrs a written complaint was lodged at PS Roing by one Shri Krishna Saha, Employee of Intaya Agency Roing that on 22/04/16 at around 1810 Hrs., 2(Two) unidentified masked persons entered into the shop, assaulted the salesman and looted Rs 50,000/- Rupees Fifty Thousand cash and also snatched away one Samsung mobile phone at gun point and fled away. Accordingly a case was registered at PS Roing vide Roing PS Case No. 26/2016 U/S 392/394 IPC R/W section 25/27 Arms Act and endorsed to SI Mongol Koyu for investigation.

Under the supervision of SP Roing Shri Take Ringu,IPS, intensive search was conducted in and around Roing township area by Roing police team led by DySP Habung Hailyang, SI Mongol Koyu and SI P. Nikang and also alerted all OCs of Police Station and Incharge Shantipur checkgate/Paglam and also intensive police pickets were set up in and around Roing township. The police team led by Dy.SP, H. Hailyang, SI M. Koyu , SI P. Nikang and Ct. T. Wangham arrested the suspected accused Shri Biplob Thapa (27yrs) and Sri Bikas Thapa ( 24 yrs) from Shantipur near Assam – Arunachal border area and recovered the mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy Grandprime) of the complainant from their possession. On interrogation, the duo revealed that they alongwith accused Vikhram Thapa, who is also wanted in connection with Roing PS Case no. 11/2016 U/S 384 IPC R/W section 25(1-A) Arms Act, had committed the armed robbery at Intaya Agency Roing. Further they revealed that during commission of crime they have used one Tata Sumo driven by one Kancha Tamang. Accordingly a raid was conducted on the same day i,e, on 23/04/2016 at Cheta –II village, Roing by the police team . During the raid the main accused Vikram Thapa was rounded up and arrested by the team who was in possession of one country made pistol. The country made pistol loaded with a cartridge alongwith some looted cash money recovered and seized from his possession. Further the police team also managed to apprehend the Sumo driver Kancha Tamang (19yrs) alongwith the vehicle. The interrogation reveals that they were planning to procure more arms with the looted money to strengthen their gang thereby to commit such heinous crime in future under the command and control of main accused, Vikhram Thapa ( 23 yrs) S/o Lt. Tek Bahadur Thapa of Naharbari village Shantipur,PO/PS Sadiya, District- Tinsukia, Assam.

All the arrested accused are under police custody at Roing P.S. for further interrogation. The case was worked out within 24 hrs of the registration of the case. With the arrest of accused Vikhram Thapa, the Roing PS case no 11/2016, U/S 384 IPC R/W section 25(1-A) Arms Act has also been solved.
